The Heights' PTA
The PTA is made up of teachers and parents from throughout the school who get together every other month to think up fundraising ideas to support the school.
In the past few years we have had several Quiz nights, Race nights, a curry evening and of course the renowned Heights Christmas Fair.
This is our main fundraiser of the whole year and we try and involve everyone. The boys run their various types of stalls in their classrooms, which inevitably involve a lot of sweets being consumed. The lower school is turned into an early Christmas scene with the smells of mulled wine and hot dogs coming from the kitchen. The hall becomes a market scene with stalls of all types including the bottle tombola, the raffle, a deli stall, wreaths and candles as well as a selection of outside stalls.
In past years we have raised about £6,500 for the school and we would like to thank all the parents for their support.
We have used the PTA funds to supply a new minibus for the school as well as whiteboards in the Pre-Prep classrooms.
For last year's sports day the PTA decided to thank parents for their support by providing strawberries and Pimms,as well as providing house t-shirts for the boys. It was great to see the rows of yellow, green, red and blue as the boys lined up for events. Staff looked very smart in their uniform blue shirts. It ended the term on a high for everyone and hopefully will be remembered as supporting parents, staff and boys.
The PTA is open to any parent who is interested in joining us and helping us to raise funds for the school. If you would like to know more, please contact the school office for further details
